Classified Employment

An employee who has continued employment protections.  Paid on an hourly basis and may be eligible for overtime under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.  Generally assigned to support positions.  Fall into one of four categories.

1. Association of Classified Employees (ACE) bargaining unit.
2. ACE Excluded non-bargaining unit employees.
3. Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) bargaining unit employees.
4. FOP Excluded non-bargaining unit employees.
