Call for Vendors & Food Trucks Application

Penguin Productions at Youngstown State University is planning for the music and arts festival, Federal Frenzy. In its SIXTH year, Federal Frenzy will take place on April 25, 2020 from 2:00 – 11:00 PM. The event takes over downtown on West Federal Street and Phelps Street, in addition to various establishments. Outdoors, the committee strives to fill the streets with vendors, live artistry, interactive activities, and performances by regional and national acts. The various indoor venues feature live musical performances from YSU student, faculty, staff, and alumni acts as well as an art gallery featuring the art of the city. The event is free and open to the public. With over 6,000 people in attendance last year, it has become a fundamental part of this community’s calendar and an amazing opportunity to connect with the people in our region.

Federal Frenzy is more than a festival, it’s an opportunity to bring the various facets of the community together. One of our goals is to create engagement opportunities for our campus and the greater Youngstown community. We would like to invite YOU to join us in making the SIXTH FEDERAL FRENZY FANTASTIC.

VENDORS 

Specific details regarding the Vendor Market at Federal Frenzy are as follows

Date and Time

  • Federal Frenzy will take place on April 25, 2020.
  • The market will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Vendors are to arrive between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. but must be set up by 1:45 p.m. Upon acceptance, Vendors will be assigned a load-in time.
  • The Vendor Market will close at 8:00 pm. Vendors are not to leave prior to 8:00 p.m., otherwise they will not be considered for partnership with Penguin Productions for future events.

Conditions

  • Vendors will be charged a fee of $25.00.
  • Upon confirmation of involvement, payment must be submitted by deadline specified in acceptance message. Failure to submit payment on time will result in a loss of vendor space at our event. 
  • Vendors are expected to be present rain or shine.
  • All food vendors must show appropriate Health Department Certification to the event manager. These permits must be displayed in public view during event hours. All prepared food processor/equipment/trailers must comply with the County Health Department regulations. Please be sure to confirm updated regulations with the Department of Environmental Health when applying for a license.
  • All processed foods must be appropriately labeled with product name, ingredients, net weight, price, vendors name and address.

Amenities

  • Penguin Productions will provide (1) 8 ft table, (2) chairs, and a tent to all confirmed vendors.
  • Vendors will not have access to power.
  • All Vendors will be within the Vendor Market.

FOOD TRUCKS

Specific details regarding Food Truck Alley at Federal Frenzy are as follows.

Date and Time

  • Federal Frenzy will take place on April 25, 2020.
  • Food Truck Alley will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Food Trucks are to arrive between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. but must be set up by 1:45 p.m.
  • Position in Food Truck Alley will be decided on a first come, first serve basis.

Conditions

  • Food Trucks will be charged a fee of $100.00.
  • Food Trucks must be self contained.
  • Upon confirmation of involvement, payment must be submitted by deadline specified in acceptance message. Failure to submit payment on time will result in a loss of vendor space at our event. 
  • Food Trucks are expected to be present rain or shine.
  • All food vendors must show appropriate Health Department Certification to the event manager. These permits must be displayed in public view during event hours. All prepared food processor/equipment/trailers must comply with the County Health Department regulations. Please be sure to confirm updated regulations with the Department of Environmental Health when applying for a license.

VENDOR AND FOOD TRUCK APPLICATION

Priority Deadline for applications is SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2020 at 11:59 P.M.

OFFICIAL DEADLINE for Applications is FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2020 at 11:59 P.M.

Spaces are limited, therefore not all applications will be accepted. Applicants who submitted their application prior to the Priority Deadline will be notified of their application status no later than Friday, February 28, 2020.
