Biosafety in Research

YSU maintains active policies practices regarding the oversight and evaluation of the institution’s use, programs, and facilities to assure consistence and ongoing compliance with regulations involving any and all biological agents.  Such agents are common in research settings, including but not limited to recombinant or synthetic nucleic acid molecules (as defined by NIH), microorganisms, materials derived from human or non-human primates, or materials determined to be biological toxins.
