Institutional Research and Analytics has Expanded and Relocated

This past summer, the Office of Institutional Research and Analytics moved from the second floor of the Phelps Building to the second floor of Tod Hall – Suite 209. This relocation facilitates the continued integration of data with strategy to improve our ability to make data-informed decisions.

On September 3, 2019 the office welcomed two new research analysts: Kit Na Davies and Aaron Meyerl.

  • Kit Na has a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science and a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Computer Software Engineering. Most recently Kit Na worked as a data analyst for Community Transit in Seattle, Washington.
  • Aaron has Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and four years of institutional research experience from the Community College of Beaver County, in Township, Pennsylvania.
  • Both Kit Na and Aaron will be involved with federal and state mandated reporting in addition to supporting the efforts of the Division of Institutional Effectiveness.

The Office has recently completed submitting the Fall IPEDS reporting collection; is developing and producing decision-critical data reporting tables and illustrations; and is increasing its capabilities for reporting, analysis and dashboarding using our enterprise system from Ellucian called Banner that is now being moved by Information Technology Services to a “Cloud-based” platform.

Please join us in welcoming Kit Na and Aaron to Youngstown State University.
