  • What do I do if I don't know my Starfish password?
    • Your Starfish password is the same as your YSU portal password.
  • What do I do if the link to the survey in the Starfish email isn't working?
    • Please log onto your YSU portal and use the Starfish link on the left hand side to access your survey.,
  • What if I don't have any information to submit during Starfish Survey dates?
    • Just open the survey and click on the submit button so we know you viewed the survey.
  • What if I would like to raise a flag on a student after a survey has closed?
    • A flag can be raised at any time during the semester by accessing the Starfish link on the left side of your portal.
  • When are flags lowered?
    • CSP staff will lower flags after contact has been made with the student and there's been a discussion about possible remedies.  Students are also referred to their instructor to have a discussion about the flag.
  • Why didn't I receive a Starfish survey?
    • You must be the instructor of record in the Banner system to receive a survey.
  • Can you put me into the system now so that I can receive a survey?
    • Starfish surveys are preloaded and launched on a specified date.  Once they are launched, surveys cannot be altered.
