Advisor instructions to run a Degree Audit

  1. In Banner Self Service – Select “Faculty and Advisors”

  2. Select “Advisor Menu”

  3. Select “DARSWeb”

  4. Select “Submit an Audit”

  5. Although this screen leads you to believe that you are selecting a term, in fact you are not. Simply choose “Submit” to get to the next screen.

  6. Key in the Student ID (Banner “Y” number) and select “Submit ID.”

  7. At this point, you can simply choose “Run Audit” if you wish to run an audit for the catalog year/ term and major of the latest major shown. In this example, the audit would run for “Undetermined STEM / 201130.” (Spring 2011)

    If you would like to choose a different major and or catalog year/term you will need to choose “What ‐ If?” A “What ‐ If?” audit is used for generating an audit for a different major and/or catalog year. (Be sure to run a “what ‐ if” audit ‐ choosing Fall 2012 or greater if you wish to see the general education requirements that begin Fall 2012 in the audit.)

  8. If choosing a “What ‐ If?” audit ‐ Using the “Select College/School” drop down list ‐ Select the College/School that the houses the major you wish to run an audit for then click “Select.”

  9. Using the “Select Degree” drop down list – select the appropriate degree for the major you wish to run an audit for then click “Select.” If you wish to run an audit only for general education, choose “Advise.”

  10. Using the “Select Major” drop down list ‐ select “General Education Requirement” then click “Select.”

  11. Using the “Select CatLyt” drop down list, select the desired catalog semester and year to run the audit for then click on “Select.” (Remember to select Fall 2012 or greater if you wish to see the general education requirements that begin in Fall 2012.)

  12. Select “Run Analysis” to generate the degree audit.

  13. Click on “view submitted audits.”

  14. Click on the program under the “View Link” to view the audit.

  15. Use the scroll bar on the right to view the audit or click on the View a Printer Friendly Report to print.
