Open educational resources are freely used at little to no cost. Unlike copyrighted resources, open educational resources have been created by an individual or institution under an open copyright license.
An abundance of open resources are available, ranging from textbooks to fully designed courses. Some are fully customizable under a creative commons license. The majority of these resources have been peer reviewed, many by faculty at institutions using open educational resources.
