Graduate Intern

Pete the PenguinBryan Kline is the Graduate Intern for the Office of Career Exploration & Development. He is currently completing his Master of Science in Education degree here at YSU. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus of Secondary Social Studies Education (2015) from California University of Pennsylvania. Before YSU, Bryan taught 9th grade American Civics and an Honors Contemporary World Issues Course open to 11th and 12th grade students in High Schools in Pennsylvania. During this period, Bryan found his passion for assisting students with their post-secondary educational plans as well as assisting students into entering the workforce.

Bryan’s philosophy includes creating a personalized learning environment that address the distinct learning needs, interests, aspirations, or cultural backgrounds of individual students. He believes that this environment allows students to reach their full potential in a supportive and collaborative environment where learning is prioritized. His focus in the office includes professional development, interview preparation, resume assistance, and exploratory advising. He also leads a section of CARD 1520: Exploring Majors & Careers where he helps exploratory students explore their career and academic goals through self-assessment and discussion. When not at the University, Bryan can be found tinkering in his makeshift workshop or touring on hilly country roads on his motorcycle.
