In Computer Services, we are focusing on:
- Beginning a detailed review of access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
- Installing the Ellucian Recruiter system
- Installing the CourseLeaf system for academic course changes (workflow) and eCatalog
- Upgrading Banner to the new XE release
- Supporting all Institutional Research reporting requirements
- Blackboard support
- Web site security cleanup
- ADA Audit support (Blackboard content)
- Developing all Business Intelligence analysis & reporting.
Network Security continues to focus on:
- Responding to eDiscovery requests
- Responding to malware breaches, currently Cryptowall/Cryptolocker
- Recruiting a new Associate Director – Information Security Officer (ISO)
- Collaborating with CTS to update software such as Flash & Java to minimize exposure to current malware exploits
- Developing an overall security plan for offices using PII
ITS-Operations is focusing on:
- Its work order backlog
- The CCTV camera upgrades
- Ongoing Data Center Operations & Upgrades
- Ongoing campus network upgrades:
- Mosher Hall
- Melnick Hall
- Meshel Hall
- Supporting Network Security given the ISO vacancy
Media & Academic Computing focuses on the following ongoing projects:
- Day to day operation of the Tech Desk
- Completing the conversion of university micro computers from XP to Windows/7
- Installation & upgrades of classroom technology equipment
- Day to day efforts on their work order backlog
- Planning & executing the FY 2015-2016 academic affairs upgrades to classrooms, desktops, and systems
- Supporting Network Security given the ISO vacancy
- A Network Access Control (NAC) solution to keep WinXP off of the network
- Increased automation of software delivery through increased Altiris packages/jobs
- Implementing a more cost effective desktop antivirus
