Employers visit Youngstown State University not only promote their company but to interview students for full-time professional positions or internships within their organization. These interviews take place in the Office of Career Exploration & Development. Interviewing times are scheduled throughout the academic year, and employer visits are promoted to students, alumni, and faculty.
* On-Campus Recruiting dates usually occur from mid-September through November for Fall semester and mid-January through May for Spring semester.
Many employers hold Recruiting or Information Sessions beforehand. These sessions help provide insight for students regarding what employers are looking for in candidates. While each employer has their specific qualifications, there are skills that transfer from company to company such as organizational skills, both written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, problem solving skills, etc. These employer sessions can be extremely beneficial when it comes time for you to create your resume and interview for your professional career

→ Bring prepared questions. The questions can be general or specific to that company.
