2019 Fall Submission Changes

The Office of Assessment has transitioned to the Taskstream Assessment Management System for assessment reporting. This online system allows programs to easily create assessment reports, keep all data and files together, and allows for easy reflection on the assessment process and reviews. We will be training assessment coordinators in Taskstream AMS over the next several years. A program will start using Taskstream AMS when they are scheduled to do an Assessment Plan or Assessment Cycle Reflection. Unsure of what to report? Check here for your program’s expected report this fall (if prompted, log-in with your YSU credentials to view spreadsheet).

  • Programs scheduled to an Assessment Plan or Cycle Reflection will be submitting through Taskstream AMS. If you are scheduled to report through Taskstream, you will be contacted this fall to attend a training or to schedule a one-on-one consultation.
  • Programs scheduled to do an Assessment Update will be submitting through the online form.

Contact the Office of Assessment with any questions about reporting.

Academic Assessment Resources

Academic Assessment Handbook: This document is meant to be a resource to those new(er) to assessment activities and a reference to those who have been participating in assessment activities for some time. The Handbook is in two parts; Part 1 explains the steps in the assessment process, including how to write SLOs, select methods and analyze results. Part 2 outlines the reporting elements here at YSU and also includes guides to using Taskstream to submit reports.

Assessment Drafting Templates

Guidance on elements of the assessment process and completing reporting requirements are found in the Academic Assessment Handbook; below are Word formats of the reporting templates for drafting reports. Plan and Cycle Reflection submissions are only accepted Taskstream AMS. Assessment updates for 2019-20 are to be submitted using this online form.

Listening Tour Spring 2018

Departments were not required to submit assessment updates or reports in 2018. Instead of update submissions the Offices of Assessment and Faculty Development met with departments to reflect on faculty development, assessment, and technology. Feedback from these meetings have been coded for themes and will be shared back with faculty in fall 2019 and used to shape the strategic direction of the new Institute for Teaching and Learning.

Assessment Archive

Academic departments can access their previous reports and feedback by logging into the Assessment Archive Wiki using your YSU ID and password. If you have trouble logging in, contact the Office of Assessment for access.
