What You'll Study

Jobs in merchandising require knowledge of fashion trends, as well as understanding of the market and production processes. This degree prepares you for a broad range of careers in the fashion and interiors industry:

  •  Merchandise analyst

FIT Articulation

The program also provides the option of completing one of seven associate programs at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. FIT courses transfer back to Youngstown State upon completion.


  • Merchandising: Fashion and Interiors Major

    You'll receive an interdisciplinary education with courses in fashion merchandising, interior merchandising, marketing and business. The program can be completed in four years if you average 16 credit hours each semester. A minor is not required but a Marketing minor does complement the degree.
