Melanie Carfolo is no stranger to YSU’s campus; having completed her undergraduate degree here before receiving her Master’s in Educational Administration from Ashland University. A Valley native, she and her husband and two young children now live in Canfield.
“In joining us, Ms. Carfolo brings a rich array of experiences with exceptional children,” stated Charles Howell, Dean of YSU’s Beeghly College of Education.
Ms. Carfolo is currently the Director of Special Education at East Liverpool City Schools. Prior to that she worked in schools across the Valley, including Warren, Western Reserve Local, and Struthers. She holds an Ohio principal license and has served as a special education consultant and school improvement facilitator for the Region 5 State Support Team.
The Rich Center’s founder and Board Chairperson, Phyllis Ricchiuti, says those who’ve worked with Ms. Carfolo had only accolades for her. “The Rich Center has been in existence for almost 20 years. Ms. Carfolo will lead us into a new phase of growth where we are positioned to make an even bigger impact in our community.”
Ms. Carfolo’s first day will be March 17th. Please join us in welcoming her to The Rich Center!
