The Youngstown State University Board of Trustees holds its quarterly meetings in December on the following schedule. All meetings are in the Board of Trustees Meeting Room on the first floor of Tod Hall, unless otherwise noted:

Tressels donate $1 million to establish student work endowment fund at YSU

Ellen and Jim Tressel have made a $1 million pledge to Youngstown State University to help expand student employment opportunities on campus.

YSU signs agreements with five Chinese universities

Youngstown State University has signed agreements with five universities in China as part of an effort to expand the institution’s global reach.

The agreements, which set the framework for a variety of educational collaborations, were inked during a two-week trip to China by a six-person delegation from YSU.

Phi Kappa Phi deems YSU a Chapter of Excellence

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi has recognized the Youngstown State University chapter as a Chapter of Excellence, the highest commendation a chapter can receive from the organization.

Dana School of Music jazz and flute concerts set for this week

Jazz and flutes are the order of the day for concerts Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 16 and 17, presented by the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University.

Both concerts are free and open to the public.

The YSU Jazz Ensembles perform 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16 in Kilcawley Center’s Chestnut Room on the YSU campus.
