What You'll Study
Whether you plan to work in the criminal justice system, a municipal or state agency, or even private industry, understanding the role and responsibilities of law enforcement can put you in a position to better navigate the challenges of the legal system. This minor is a natural complement to our Criminal Justice or Forensic Science major; however, students in a variety of disciplines can benefit from the knowledge gained in this 21-hour course sequence.
As a student in the program, you will spend time in the classroom learning the history and theories of criminal justice, supplemented by hands-on learning experiences in the YSU Crime Scene Investigation Lab.
