Through a mix of leadership and administrative specialty courses, you'll gain the skills you need to become an effective leader in a school system, as well as its surrounding community, to encourage students and faculty toward personal and organizational success.

    If you would like to work as an administrator for K-12 schools, YSU's Master of Science in Education – Educational Administration (With Principal Licensure Option) program can help you achieve your goal. You will gain the legal, financial, data, and personnel management skills needed to improve student outcomes. The coursework will prepare you to identify and address current issues affecting education, to lead a coalition to develop a school mission, vision and process for improvement, to evaluate curriculum and instructional approaches, and to resolve questions of ethics in the academic environment.

    Each of these programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Students can complete each program in 12-14 months entirely online, providing flexibility for working professionals.
